JACKSON, Tenn. (December 18, 2024) – Leaders Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative, found ways to serve West Tennessee communities and gave over $8,500 through their Leaders with Love projects. These projects gave employees at Leaders the unique opportunity to spread Christmas cheer to an organization or nonprofit they are passionate about serving.
“We look at the heart of the community,” said Nick Wisdom, AVP of Branch Operations at Leaders Union City Branch. “When our members come and see us, we know them by name, we know what is going on in their lives, and we try to make sure we stay invested in them as much as they are in us.”
Each branch and department were able to choose which organization they wanted to serve, and they were able to find ways to help any needs the organization had during the holiday season. Some of the projects included care packages for the homeless through West Tennessee Healthcare, infant care seats for Birth Choice, and gifts for children in foster care through Madison County CASA.
Since Leaders Credit Union values giving forward to the community, they funded each one of the projects. The Leaders with Love 2024 video is published on YouTube, so anyone can see the highlights from the projects.
“How we typically power people’s passions and make their lives better is through finances, and this is just an extra step that we get to take during the holidays to help improve people’s lives everywhere,” said Erin Mitchell, Vice President of Human Resources at Leaders.
